What the hell could spies find that they couldn't just find on the internet?

This is where I'm confused...

America might have secrets, even kept from its own people... But what could Chinese spy balloons gain in our airspace?

Intercepting communications on secure lines somehow?

They could already do that and much more with their communist party members posing as students and others positions.

They're everywhere.

So why balloons?

And why media attention?

Is it coming folks, and so soon now?
