The Chinese dirigible device could be purposed for many things depending on the payload. Bringing the device down without damaging the payload could reveal classified Chinese technology. As for the purpose, it could be weather or a test platform as to over the horizon radar or an enhancer for over the horizon radar. It could be an electronic warfare platform or signal intelligence device or EMP. |
