Range of an AIM-9C Sidewinder missile, with which the Missouri ANG F-16’s are equipped, is 22 MILES. Do the math. Easy shoot down. The AIM-9C isn’t a heat seeker, but uses radar. Will see that balloon and its equipment package easily. Just who’s side are you on, comrade?? Never mind, I think I know… Right, even if they say they couldn't do that, they could always use a space rocket to hit it, it is a balloon ffs, and these people are trying to act like we are defenseless against a balloon. |
