Are the 'big black panels' only there to make it look 'a bit like a satellite', while the only important bit of the payload is the small bit in the middle? . My first thought was solar panels, but for a 2 week trip, a good set of lithium batteries would be fine. Chinese claimed it had "limited steering" so I'm guessing the black fabric we see is a primitive wing "flap" on both sides that can be tilted to change direction... The center would be the motor and power source, along with a camera and communication. My opinion. . ^^ my thought on why it's a sail, flap? If you zoom on the right one, it looks like its connected to a padded wheel that can rotate, which would turn the whole black flap "sail". The padded wheel turns. The entire assembly is only connected in center and can rotate by the padded wheels... My thoughts. I agree looks like sails on a sailboat. That would also give it limited steering rotate so wind hit it at an angle and it would push the balloon in that direction. |
