Abstract
Invasive fungal diseases (IFDs) are of huge concern in resource-limited settings, particularly in Africa, due to the unavailability of diagnostic armamentarium for IFDs, thus making definitive diagnosis challenging. IFDs have non-specific systemic manifestations overlapping with more frequent illnesses, such as tuberculosis, HIV, and HIV-related opportunistic infections and malignancies. Consequently, IFDs are often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. We critically reviewed the available literature on IFDs in Africa to provide a better understanding of their epidemiology, disease burden to guide future research and interventions. Cryptococcosis is the most encountered IFD in Africa, accounting for most of the HIV-related deaths in sub-Saharan Africa. Invasive aspergillosis, though somewhat underdiagnosed and/or misdiagnosed as tuberculosis, is increasingly being reported with a similar predilection towards people living with HIV. More cases of histoplasmosis are also being reported with recent epidemiological studies, particularly from Western Africa, showing high prevalence rates amongst presumptive tuberculosis patients and patients living with HIV. The burden of pneumocystis pneumonia has reduced significantly probably due to increased uptake of anti-retroviral therapy among people living with HIV both in Africa, and globally. Mucormycosis, talaromycosis, emergomycosis, blastomycosis, and coccidiomycosis have also been reported but with very few studies from the literature. The emergence of resistance to most of the available antifungal drugs in Africa is yet of huge concern as reported in other regions. IFDs in Africa is much more common than it appears and contributes significantly to morbidity and mortality. Huge investment is needed to drive awareness and fungi related research especially in diagnostics and antifungal therapy.

WHO today published a report highlighting the first-ever list of fungal "priority pathogens" – a catalogue of the 19 fungi that represent the greatest threat to public health. The WHO fungal priority pathogens list (FPPL) is the first global effort to systematically prioritize fungal pathogens, considering the unmet research and development (R&D) needs and the perceived public health importance. The WHO FPPL aims to focus and drive further research and policy interventions to strengthen the global response to fungal infections and antifungal resistance.

Fungal pathogens are a major threat to public health as they are becoming increasingly common and resistant to treatment with only four classes of antifungal medicines currently available, and few candidates in the clinical pipeline. Most fungal pathogens lack rapid and sensitive diagnostics and those that exist are not widely available or affordable globally.

The invasive forms of these fungal infections often affect severely ill patients and those with significant underlying immune system related conditions. Populations at greatest risk of invasive fungal infections include those with cancer, HIV/AIDS, organ transplants, chronic respiratory disease, and post-primary tuberculosis infection.

Sec. Terrestrial Microbiology

Fungal outbreak in the Catacombs of SS. Marcellino and Pietro Rome (Italy): From diagnosis to an emergency treatment

Although the direct observation under a light microscope evidenced the presence of abundant brown fungal conidia, several attempts to cultivate the microorganism failed, therefore only through DNA sequencing analyses, it was possible to identify and characterize this fungus. There is very little literature on the genus Coniophora which is reported as one of the causes of wet-rot decay of wood in buildings.

You’ve just had an enormous stratospheric ballon fly over the states that when finally shot down, appeared to disperse a large amount of ‘dust’…

It’s also used for terraforming:

‘ [Plants that support terraforming] need minerals, and pairing fungi up with the plants and debris from humans [causes them to] decompose into a form that then creates rich soils that could help generate the foods that astronauts need. ’

…’ The second stage [headed by astrobiologist Lynn Rothschild and her team at NASA Ames] involves determining the most effective way to use a fungus once the best type is selected. What might that look like?’

Not saying that’s what’s happening- just that the panspermia theory held the notion that the planet was originally seeded in this way- so fungal spores can certainly survive high altitudes etc.

That sounds exactly like what I have been battling the past few months. I am a Acute myeloid Leukemia patient with a suppressed immune system. Went in the hospital on November 11th and stayed 3 weeks with pneumonia. At first they said bacterial pneumonia with sepsis, then it later changed to Bacterial and fungal Pnemonia. After I got released, I had to do daily anti-fungal drip at the infusion center for a month. Im still on heavy anti fungal meds on top of my other meds. I began having bad mouth sore right after Christmas. My oncologist perscribed a statin mouth since and more antifungle meds. I remember right before I got sick, I was working in the shop and it got a little dusty but I was trying to keep it down, The chemtrails were also very heavy too. I live in North Texas.

that looks exactly like what happens in the book called SWAN SONG..
a post apocalyptic setting where people are affected by this stuff that grows on their skin, eventually covering them entirely.a slow death.

this book changed me.
one of the very few i would put in my top ten.

I dont know, It always had to be ordered when I showed up at the infusion center, Then a nurse had to go pick it up at a different location pharmacy. When in the hospital, they installed a pic line and I sometimes had several bags of different meds plus blood infusion I had the pic line deliver the meds right to my heart. They took it out when they ended the daily drip at the infusion cr.

NAC (that they tried to take off the market recently) and enzymes such as bromelain and serrapeptase to denature spike protein in the body, would be my suggestion for peace of mind. Plus the candida protocol of low sugar diet etc.
