I might snowbird someday but every time I go back, I only want to stay 2 or 3 weeks. The traffic is terrible now and there is so much road rage. I like being in the country.

In 1971 I just returned from overseas. My gramps had retired in Naples. I had not seen him in over 4 years. I knew he went to the Naples Pier everyday at noon to fish. He was my first stop after landing. The beach in those days was beautiful and pristine with no condos. The town was small and sleepy. It was a great place. 41 was a 2 laner all the way to Tampa and 75 had yet to be built that far south.

Oh how i remember those days . I was 6 years old in 71. The snook we would catch off naples beach, Marco island and chokoloskee were massive! And the redfish!
