One of the fault lines that runs thru turkey has produced a near 10 point Eq in past history.

Will likely be felt in Israel as it sits on the Dead Sea Fault.

If you look at this town on Google maps, you can see exactly what may be happening. There is an underwater canyon that butts up against the land there. This might cause mudslides or sink holes in the area.


Now look at the kinds of buildings that are in the area. Tons of high rise apt buildings. Yikes.

EMSC has now two earthquakes listed one 7.6 and second 8.1 !

This is like Apocalyptic magnitude for land

Update it was ghost quake and error! Still massive magnitude not seen for ages!

Felt it in Samsun (located in central Black Sea region) for about 1 min. People from various cities all over Anatolia are reporting the same. What kind of an earthquake was that?!
