If this props up the economy and Erdogan manages this crisis properly, he will probably win. At the moment he's not in a great position with all the other 6 political parties uniting to beat him. This could go either way. The last time an earthquake like this happened, the old lira crashed over a period of 5 years and the new one was introduced.
