Anonymous Coward User ID: 49545246 United States 02/06/2023 01:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 7.8 is strong, but not that big of a deal..the earth has at least 15-20 such strength quakes in a year Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81779051 8+ and higher are once a year or so 9 or greater are once in a century or so Japan in 2011 2011 Tōhoku earthquake 9.2 mag..which in turn led to the WAVE and fukushimma diaster but japanese are smart people and build well for quakes which are more common in their region of world. A 7.8 quake is not a big deal to the japs..minor damage the sand jokeys in turkeys mud huts crumbled Hi, Chilean here. We eat earthquakes during breakfast, so we know a lot about them. Your analysis is not entirely accurate. Absolute magnitude is just a factor in earthquake destruction, there are several others in place: how deep it was, terrain conditions (see Mexico D.F. as an example of a terrible place), construction code, population density, wave acceleration, movement direction and timing, among others. This Turkish earthquake was very strong, very shallow, with extreme acceleration (almost 2 meters / 7 feets of displacement every second) and right under a highly populated area. Also, construction code is not as strict as Japanese or Chilean ones. Besides, it looks like the entire fault is crumbling. The 7.5 aftershock was way to the north from the original fracture. Maybe the entire fault will soon collapse into an even bigger quake (and by "soon" I mean within hours or a couple of days). Let's hope it doesn't, because it would be almost apocalyptic in that area. Over twenty earthquakes of magnitude 5.0 or greater in less than 24 hours, so this is pretty bad. This is only the beginning. The pole shift guys have been warning on here for nearly two years now that feb. March of 2023 the piles would reach a "breaking point". The north pole has reached the 49° point and is moving south While the south pole is moving into the Indian Ocean around New Zealand. All of these quake's are located in between these two points. It's going to get a whole lot worse. I also would expect major vulcanism very shoon . The flip has begun. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82403362 All the while Turkey will slam the West and America every chance he has otherwise. Azerbaijan has already sent a plane to help. America is not the first. I saw it on the flight trackers earlier. Same aircraft type they are sending to the WEF with their delegations. Seen it at Zurich airport. I like the livery beautiful deep blue colours. So that's what that L4J was doing over there in Adana. Now changed again Turkey at least 1541 killed Syria at least 810 killed now must be pitch dark down there. Sadly, these early figures will be 10-1% of the final toll.
