Yep. We're getting unprecedented numbers of tremors over here in the middle of the Mediterranean too. I'm on Malta, and every day for weeks the local press has been reporting it - always trying to downplay them.

Is it really? Despite what people may perceive, earthquake activity, worldwide, has been far below historical averages for years now. We used to average at about 2, 7.0 or greater quakes every month. If we just went back to normal it would be a large, noticeable increase.

I think it is the pole shift and the worse is yet to come. Maybe time to move off the coast and into the mountains hah.

Sure, it could be. Sun cycles may have all kinds of earth impacts we don't fully understand. So far, I'm just not seeing anything out of the ordinary beside fewer quakes for a few years when the Sun's activity has been a bit more unusual. Could be lagging impacts though.
