That teenager who had a heart attack playing basketball last week has now died.

‘Cartier Woods, the Detroit Northwestern High School boys basketball player who suffered cardiac arrest during a Jan. 31 game against Fredrick Douglass Academy, has died.

Detroit Public Schools Community District confirmed his death Tuesday evening, stating that Woods' aunt, his legal guardian, decided to withdraw life support "after vital signs continued to be absent." Woods, 18, was a senior at Northwestern, where he also played varsity football.’
