good thing you're on it. Thank God!!!

I was just providing real life "transliteration" .......

Not the same.

So! You OK with Jesus being called Jesus? Or do you back OP's contention?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80376576

The answer to that question is not simply yes or no, it is conditional. Read this passage of Scripture first:

Exo 20:2 I am Yahweh thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other elohim before me.
Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I Yahweh thy Elohim am a jealous El, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exo 20:6 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Exo 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of Yahweh thy Elohim in vain; for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Now, I don't have a problem with the Messiah being called Jesus, IF these commandments are not being violated by doing so.

And what is it that you think the OP's contention is?
 Quoting: Obedience_Proves_Faith

I have no idea what OP's contention is except to emphasize his habraic name. For me, it's not a matter of the name, but a matter of the heart. I know who he is for me in my heart. He's always heard me, responded to me.... talked to me in my heart, no matter what "name" i used to cry out to him.

God knows your heart and your intention. I got saved calling upon Jesus, but as I grew in knowledge, I began to use His real name. When I pray and use Yeshua Hamaschiak, it just seems more serious, like I got the address right. We are expected to grow with knowledge and not be stubborn when we learn something new. We will be judged for being stubborn.

Now that I know what I know, when I say the name Jesus, I think of that white guy in the painting who is actually Cesare Borgia.

ikr!!!???

I also prefer his original name over the popular one.

The things i share . I share because i love my Saviour Elohim and King. YHVH/YAH/shua.

Because English is not the language of heaven. Hence when all languages are turned back to one tongue(something being done artificially by AI now) Jesus will be not be how you/we/i call upon Him. So may as well receive the blessings now and learn in His Love to respect Him.

Yes of course He hears sincere believer's and seekers who use transliteration and transliteration to call upon Him as saviour and King. But its still no excuse to continue to do so once you know the truth.

Jesus as name and sound is a very recent innovation.

And scripture is very clear . You want the fullness of the many blessings in scripture associated with Him and His Name and calling upon His name?

Then use His Name . Not translation or incorrect transliteration
