12 February: US jets shoot down a fourth high-altitude object near Lake Huron "out of an abundance of caution"

A lot of the headlines across different outlets are similar. This comment says a lot: “I’m not going to categorize them as balloons,” VanHerck said. “We’re calling them objects for a reason. I’m not able to categorize how they stay aloft.”

So then, NOT BALLOONS

Will there be another incident today? Or do they only get spotted and shot at over weekends?

What's also interesting is that they (claim) they don't know what they are, or if they are a threat of any kind - but let's just blast them out of the sky to be sure.

Just imagine if those objects were a warning from an alien civilization - or even a threat - and we just happily blast them away.

If the last one was at 20k feet - would it NOT have been possible to retrieve it with a helicopter and bring it down safely to examine it?

IMO these objects have been around for a long long time and we're not shot at. But the military is now extremely concerned about EMP devices tethered from balloons from China, and this has resulted in the searching for and shoot downs of all small objects that resemble Chinese drones or balloons.

Maybe the aliens just want to talk. Blue beam is a made up fantasy. I haven’t seen any actual threat from these objects. I only see objects scouting us out to decide if they want to talk to us… but how we may have pissed them off…

There are stars (suns) immensely older than our own, and they have planets around them as well. There are civilizations immensely older and more advanced than our own.
