Railroads are a money pit, do a search on Youtube to see the engineering, manpower and hard graft that goes into keeping them running, they are a nightmare.

It's undoubtedly cheaper to haul a train loaded with toxic chemicals on obsolete rolling stock, freight is about all trains are useful for, as they limp along at about 40 MPH.

This only exploded because a wheel bearing overheated, triggering derailment and fire caused by hot bearing.

Rail-Roads in USA are utterly worn out dangerous junk.
