I bet you dont realize who you thought was "antifa" was REALLY trumps mercenary force, their purpose commit acts of violence and destruction and vilifying the protest of police violence and attempting to declare martial law so he could cancel the election he KNEW he had lost. The way you know this is how after the boy for Wisconsin was acquitted for shooting three of them, the violence stopped |

Stay calm and you won't get shot by a trigger happy retard cop. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79961651 I just saw a video from California where the cops pulled over a guy who admitted he had a gun in the backseat - guess what? He didn't die because he remained calm. The cops cuffed him and helped him sit down on the sidewalk. Mental illness is not a capital crime. Police are not 'Judge Dreads' authorized to diagnose judge sentence and execute offenders. |

Maybe a national id band for confirmed mental illness that gps alerts cops upon arrival to a suspect. Only alternative to it I see. Otherwise, if you wrestle with a cop you might get shot. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 85071635 The guy fumbled into his pockets when asked if he had weapons. The guy threw a pill in his mouth as if trying to hide drugs. The guy grabbed at the cop's belt. The lawsuit won't win. Even though the shooting was justified, videos like this motivate me to be a cop.. I feel like these escalations can be avoided if the approach is different. For example, when you talk to a person who's not right in the head, be it illness or drugs, you don't poke them with authority and trigger a situation. You talk like you're a friend.. like a peace officer. |

Quoting: DMIX333 Victim has multiple anxiety disorders. Victim mistakes another white SUV for his moms. Cops talk to him. He looks/sounds like a possible drug addict but later is revealed he suffers from severe anxiety disorder(s). His psychologist and psychiatrist testify to this, stating his disorder and severe anxiety makes it difficult for him to be coherent at times. Victim takes an anti-anxiety pill. Cops drag him out. Shoot three times, point blank, killing him in front of a school. They do not attempt any medical help. They do not reasonably try to subdue him. They get away without any charges. Family is suing the shit out of the department and I hope they get it all. Fucking jerk-off cops like this should not be on the streets. Straight up murder. Good thing for the department that the victim was white There will be no outrage or coverage on this obvious brutal murder. |

Zombie squads almost. Maybe there's an unfixable element about the problematic industry that they operate within. Who knows? Krav Maga on American soil indicates something else. |

If the officer made a bare minimum attempt to de-escalate the situation, as all decent human beings would do, then I think that far more would have come out in support of the officer. Instead, the officer chose to treat the man in the car as an enemy to be violently subdued. Quoting: WalrusRider Let's review how the conversation went : OFFICER : Do you have any weapons? IDIOT : Uhh ... OFFICER : Do you have any weapons? IDIOT : I don't know, I don't think so. After the idiot said that, the police have every right to get him under physical control immediately. That makes him a fucking idiot, or a guy who is panicking too much to think straight, not a violent criminal. In what world does that justify taking somebody to the pavement? If anything, a more natural response would be "step out of the car, keep your hands where I can see them" followed by a simple "face the car, put your hands on the car, keep your hands on the car, I'm going to frisk you now" No sudden violence necessary for mister panic attack. He wasn't panicking. He was having a George Floyd style tantrum. They had to get control of his hands. The idiot would be alive today if he had acted like an adult instead of acting like George Floyd. |

A well armed militia works with military officers, not against. That’s real LAW. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81745180 Over a dozen. De-escalation has won the day in all those accounts. But, that take years to acquire that compass, for most. When in combat arms, a polite sentry gives and is given the benefit of the doubt. Everyone can’t expect that kind of lucky streak and handle it accordingly. |

You fuck around, you will get escalated upon quickly, greater force than the threat, but proportionate. Yes, drawing is necessary to deescalate at times, as well. It’s an uneasy custom to participate in, if you’re responsible. |

Must have watched the 1966 movie Born Free too many times and thought to apply it to people that can't take care of themselves. That was their idea of fixing the system. Instead the mean streets consumed them. No way to help them there. Should have reformed the system to make it safe and secure for them. . "Don't do anything that affects anything.
