Dumbass, it is the “extra” bonus that was given during Covid lockdowns since people couldn’t work… read your own article.

Snap is still in effect just not the bonus/extra Covid amount

The globalists trying to starve us. They increase the prices to make our countries fall.

However if you aren’t pregnant or lactating, you should find a way to survive.
I had to gain 40-60lb while pregnant. It was hard to afford enough food.

Cuts must be made in America due to the 100 billion dollars sent to Ukraine.

When this reduction starts, will those impacted by this still proudly "stand with Ukraine"?

The amount of the increases didn't even keep up with inflation.

Now they are reducing peoples food to the same levels as before the pandemic. Millions of children will starve.

This is a major League emergency. With food prices up 30 to 100 %, people are struggling to afford food.
Get smart on eating cheap to survive. Potatoes and beans for example.

Agreed the writing is on the wall! it is going to get much worse!

As Inflation eats you saving and buying power!
Basic foods are still fairly cheep like rice @50 cents or beans @ $1 a pound that is apx 10 servings or 1000 calories.

I almost bought a case of spicy chicken flavored roman noodles for apx $1 a package fuck that!
You can get it for 25 cents a pack in the lime shrimp flavor and a jar of chicken bouillon for $2.

Nacho cheese sauce $4 for 7 ounces or 108 Oz for $9 and rejar it into a dozen 8 Oz jars!

My 15 laying hens cost me $1 a day to feed and they give us 10-14 eggs a day, friends and neighbors get 5 dozen @ $8 and pay for the feed and other costs of keeping them and the rabbits.

You are some kind of stupid or can't read? Thats not what it says. Just means that the benefits are going back to pre pandemic pay outs without the extra covid lockdown increase which was about $50-$75. Most will only lose $50 a month but still get about $200 or so.

Ah, I see now. So people are being drama queens and making something out of a Nothing Burger here as usual. But where is OP getting the reduction stats of $950 to $200 for families, and $280 to $23 for veterans? Were the Covid additions really a 500-1000% increase from previous amounts?

A family of 6 gets $950 if they have no income. If they have some income they could only get $200 or whatever . During the pandemic they deleted income assessment and gave every family of 6 $950 (the max for the group size)..

So some people got like $700 extra. Other families already got max so they didn’t see an increase. Biden said that’s not fair, and added an additional $150 to everybody across the board every month.

Now it’s all going back to the original rules.

AZ dumped 100 bucks a month off of the "pandemic" amount over a year ago. That was before the Biden inflation of 30-40-50 percent of food.

Those that control are using every power they have to strangle Middle America. They don't want a middle class. If you can barely afford your bills, then tremendous inflation, what can you cut?

It is in OUR FACES, they want us dead.

Alot of people on SNAP are really struggling and screwed.

On the other hand, a lot of them buy all kinds of shit they dont need and dont actually use it for hardship food. I remember when I was on it during the pandemic I bought crab legs with it.

The point was for ppl like me whos job legit shut down to have money for food, but then once I started working again way back in 2020 i got off food stamps, that was after paying in most of my adult life and only using them once.

Now its been used to help ease the effects of massive food inflation, but we need to wake up to reality.

I for one can't wait for food prices to drop due to decreased demand.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78805891

but the demand would actually increase in the short term as people buy with the money they have left

then as supply chain takes effect the prices would continue to stay high

imo
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80510765

It's worse than that. When demand drops they start destroying the food to save the price. Like they did at the beginning of the pandemic. Slaughtering cows, pigs, chickens, dumping milk on the ground, plowing under fields of crops, etc.
