Re: Skynet: Artificial intelligence flies fighter jet for 17 hours in aviation first
I can see the rationale for fighter jets.

They can build planes that are capable of aerial maneuvers that would render a human pilot unconscious due to G-forces.

Remote piloting comes at the expense of lag... at the speed of aerial combat, a few milisec's of lag can be the difference between that missile hitting the enemy jet, or the day-care center he just flew past.

I can see having humans remotely supervising automated planes, serving as a backup "judgment call" role.

It was only a matter of time, anyone could have seen this coming, and where it will lead.

Flying is the easy part.

Did it land too?

That's all that matters when you fly anything.

Unless you're Kamizazi.

Yup.

Drone fighters are superior to human flown aircraft.

Same
Could be said for ground troops and robots…seen any of those Boston Dynamic videos lately?

You realize if that’s what they are showing you…they most likely have amazing kill bots they have created.

Terminator was a silly movie when I was a kid, now I look back on that as something truly terrifying because it’s not science fiction anymore…we have the technology now, even laser guns.

And if you’ve attempted to beat non-gaming AI (that has a stupid factor built in to allow humans to win games….) it’s neigh impossible now.
Always remember these words: Work hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty! That is the Turtle Hermit way! We must master the art of peace in addition to the art of war!
