We were discussing the upstream evolution that took place before it hit the market - according to his paper it only took less than a year +/- to reach its human adapted state, wheres sars took a few years with clear markers in its lineage as it jumped from species and adapted to humans - lineage markers as it jumped from species to species are mysteriously absent in the SARS-CoV-2 genome

In fact there are sections of the genome such as the e-protein which remained unchanged from RaTG13 and other CoV strains despite 7 years of time passing - how could such a retention rate be possible in the wild? Not even 1 aa different

He was not able to provide any of that data

In fact, no one has to date

There is one avenue which does make sense - which is lab origin - a chimera strain built upon a backbone of Banal-20-52 gathered in Laos during Project 'Extension' - which was then passaged through humanized mice to erase the genetic splices (no-see-em technique) with the insertion of a FCS at the S1/S2 juncture as detailed in the Defuse Darpa Proposal - then its unique makeup makes perfect sense

To explain its makeup naturally is quite difficult and requires many extremely unlikely scenarios to all occur flawlessly - with no evidence to back up the claim - whereas lab origin is a very easy explanation

Scientists in support of natural origin have had to scrap Occam's Razor for Occam's Silly Straw in this one particular case - for 'some reason' - with no evidence to back it up

The Proximal Origins paper everyone cites is based on contamination samples that were likely from humans - no animal host has ever been found - likely because they do not exist

Early cases from Italy and elsewhere also make the Proximal Origin thesis fall apart - the scientists on the paper have responded saying the Italy samples and others must have been false positives - despite rigorous third-party analysis from multiple independent labs all detecting CoV2 in the samples - Proximal Origin 'scientists' simply dismiss them away and point to their convoluted contamination breakdown - without any animal host or direct upstream evolution data

For those who have taken the time to do a deep dive and have even a grade school background in biology can see for themselves that the natural origin claim is INCREDIBLY lacking and that lab origin is the simplest explanation which lines up with the data and makeup of CoV2
