Another 20+% didn't understand the question (i.e., "not sure" response). The poll didn't ask if whites should exist. It asked if it was "okay to be white" which is open to interpretation of the question's intent and subject matter. The "not sure" folks might have been wondering - Was the question referring to people? Was it referring to what was printed on 'white nationalist' organizations flyers? Was it referring to a perceived attitude that some believe white's have? The pollsters should have asked "do white people have a right to exist?" if they wanted to avoid ambiguity and avoid misinterpretation. I suspect the question was asked the way is was on purpose. So many fell for it. No question it is NOT helping race relations. There's nothing ambiguous about that question. You just rephrased it. Saying it is not OK to be white, is to say there shouldn't be any whites. If you say there shouldn't be whites, you're implying it would be better if there were no whites. If you imply it better if there were no whites, then logically, one would be implying that it is right to take action to ensure there are no whites. If the same was to be said of the opposite colour, there would be screeching til kingdom come, and everyone knows it. Here you're not allowed to mention who's subversively pushing this idea (they are a protected class), but it's the other abrahamic faith that doesn't include islam or christianity. Actually the AC didn't rephrase it - people on this site are rephrasing it. Over and over and over again. "Blacks say we don't have a right to exist!" when that's not being said at all, that wasn't the question. The question didn't even specify that it was referencing people. If you can't see that the question can be interpreted in many ways, then that's on you. What a shame people don't realize they are being manipulated. |
