Everytime you do drugs, you kill neurons or go numb, so you think slower than before with your weed. At first, it seems that you think better, but that slows down until it is the opposite. Just look at the people who have smoked marijuana for a long time, and their minds crawl and they look like stupid motherfuckers. |

Just look at the people who have smoked marijuana for a long time, and their minds crawl and they look like stupid motherfuckers. I agree with you about drugs. I only started smoking weed in my early 30s. Never touched anything before that. And? Only smoked recreationally. Not heavy. I’m too conscious to over do anything. I only did edibles 3 times in my life. And I had no idea what the potency of the candy I ate was. And after that panic attack? I completely stopped everything. Even fried food (which I rarely ate as well). I’ve always been paranoid of what I consume. Thank you for your response either way. Very much. I’ll take any kind of response. Negative. Positive. Doesn’t matter. I just want the experience of feedback. |

What were your symptoms? How long? I have been going to the ER literally every other day lately for panic attacks. A beta blocker like Atenolol/Tenormin would help with those panic attacks. Little to no side effects. It used to be nicknamed the stage fright pill. I still take it to this day. Costs between 4-10 bux a month without insurance. Great stuff. But for peace of mind, please ask for a 24 hour portable EKG monitor. I was able to wear it at work no problem. It's about the size of a walkman, with some wires and sticky pads that go on your chest. Do this first to see if your heart is having any abnormal events. |

I Moved this to the top because it is the simplest thing and has been known to totally change lives, seriously. Read up on Mg Deficiency and you'll know you need it immediately. Start taking a daily coated aspirin. Drink water. Do NOT use table salt. Use a Pink Himalayan Grinder. The shit they put in salt to keep it from clumping is scaring the insides of your arteries and causing coagulation and clumping. Combined with dehydration this is clogging you up. No High Fructose Corn syrup. Only Cane sugar, honey, real Maple, etc...natural. One 8oz glass of Red Wine with dinner, get a kind that contains no additives or sulfites. Take Miralax to loosen stool and clean out the pipes. Any blockage in there will cause chest pain that can feel like heart trouble. Resume eating fats including fried foods fried in Peanut oil or Lard. Your body needs fats and cholesterol, your brain is made of it. Never choose "lite" anything over full fat, including dairy. ---------- Continue to lay off the "hardcore" exercise and instead opt for walks, leisurely bike riding, moderate swimming, etc. I prefer the walks through nature for grounding/calming effect but YMMV. Hot Peppers including Cayenne to reduce inflammation. If nothing else though, MAGNESIUM CITRATE!!! That's a must. Getting high is not worth the trade off! It's probably not your heart unless you are very unhealthy. I wouldn't be surprised if you actually have some type of nervous system problems though. If there some type of metal or toxin you are being exposed too? Allergies? Have you ever been told you have sensitive skin? The vasodilation will cause your heart to work harder and the THC gets you high because of how it messes with your nervous system. A person with sensitivity issues can end up exactly in the same situation as the OP. I'm no doctor this is just my own personal experience as someone who has had nervous system problems since I was a child. You will be fine, though if I were you I would look into finding out if you do indeed have a nervous system problem. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 85384749 United States 03/05/2023 03:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Story. Quoting: Confirmation 85265109 So on Jan 9th I had a bad bad overdose of thc from eating a larger amount of an edible than my body could handle. I went on a very very bad trip that lasted for over 20 hours. Increased heart rate. Weird chest pains. Feeling like I was going to die. My third time ever using edibles. It was the first and worst panic attack I have ever had. Since then? I have never touched edibles or weed. I have never smoked ciggs. And only drank alcohol recreationally. Didn’t even start drinking until I was in my 30s. I’m 38 turn 39 this month. I also only smoked weed recreationally too. Never smoked ciggs or drunk heavy. Ever since my first panic attack on edible? I have had panic attacks multiple times. Chest pains that come and go. I elevated heart rates to 190 or more. And every single time I go to the ER? They run my EKG and blood work and say I have perfect readings and am very healthy. I have been doing calisthenics for years. 10 +. I used to work out hard core. Great body. Eat good. Even MORE so after my first panic attack 2 months ago. Also completely stopped drinking and smoking weed eating fried foods. Etc. My panic attacks and subtle chest pains have me scared shitless. So i am taking care of myself way more than before. I do admit that I haven’t been sleeping as well as I should. Have had tons of stress and an anxiety. And have not been drinking enough water for months. Until now I keep myself heavily hydrated. But now? When I try to work out? My heart rate shoots way up and my chest hurts. So I have been avoiding it. When I go to the ER? My blood pressure shoots ip to as high as 190. But as soon as they reassure me it’s not my heart it’s just anxiety? I calm down and it goes right back to 140. Then 130. Then as low as 120. My oxygen levels are alway healthy. The ER doctor (after about 20 or so panic attack visits cuz I’m Scared shitless of a heart attack) they frequently remind me that anxiety and panic attacks can mimic heart attack symptoms. And can drive my blood pressure up very high if I don’t learn to control them. The ER doctors also assure me that the cardiologist after a thorough examination? Will most likely get the same exact healthy results but better to be safe than sorry They tell Me it’s anxiety and stress and trauma. I’m going to see a cardiologist next week to completely rule out heart issues before then going to see a psychiatrist I’m seeking some sort of seer advice or insight here . For this main reason. My mom died from congestive heart failure at 60ish. Too young. Granted she was a heavy smoker. She drunk a lot. And ate a lot of bad food her entire life. And she wasn’t active. But she taught us (her kids) to treat our bodies like temples. I lived an opposite life as her. However I understand genetics play a large factor in mortality. So if anyone can tell me what they see. Is my heart going to be ok? Do I have an underlying heart condition that the cardiologist will see? Or am I so still traumatized by my anxiety that I am just stressing out and Straining my cardiovascular system. I’m Just afraid I have angina. Or stress related angina. Or something more serious. I have so much to live for. But obviously if my cardiologist tells me something not too great? I have to Live with it. Any insight is great Genetics plays a huge role I heart issues. Go to the doctor. |
