Imagine how much awe Thomas had after doubting his Lord and telling his disciple buddies he doesn’t believe it

So the disciples tell Thomas , after Jesus was crucified.

We were with the Lord

And Thomas, always being critical and logic driven, is like no way not possible. Even after being with Jesus all this time.

So he says no unless I see his hands and feet I won’t believe

And what does Jesus do soon after

He shows Thomas his hands and feet

And Thomas says my Lord and my God

Imagine how much awe he had. That Thomas had.

Like

Whoa

You are God.

And it wasn’t just Thomas testifying. It was the Holy Spirit. That moved Thomas to say my Lord and my God.

So just think about how much awe Jesus makes us daily if we pay attention

But this is a disciple that was with Jesus. And he still doubted. But it made him stronger. It showed him Jehovah. So think about that. The awe Thomas had. Think about it. He heard Jesus teachings. He saw the healings. Jesus explained parables. Thomas could comprehend what Jesus was saying. But he really didn’t understand. There were many times the disciples asked Jesus to explain.

But when Jesus literally died and rose again, Thomas was like. Yes, Jesus was not lying and he’s my God. And everything he said is truth. And he took it down and raised it up. And he is salvation.

Jesus said something like,

It’s wonderful for those who believe and did not see

So think about Thomas. He saw.

He heard

He was with Jesus

But then he saw the resurrected Jesus

And the Spirit spoke.

And Thomas understood.

It went from comprehending what Jesus said

To understanding what Jesus said.
