Adding clouds is BARELY "ALTERING WEATHER!". There is debate with REAL scientists as to the net effect. ALL combustion attributes to global warming.

I was born in 1965 and I saw persistent contrails all through the 70s and 80s in the Boston suburbs. You can't tell me I'm wrong.

Also, if there is no NEED for high altitude flyover traffic in any area, that area will most likely NEVER see contrails persist. Over the years, many more flights and airports have been added, and internet shopping created a shipping boom, so since the early 90s, there is MORE reason for jets to fly at higher altitudes, to maintain minimum separation requirements.

Uhm, you obviously have not been here long. We know the difference and many of us are old enough to remember the difference too. 30 years ago jet plane did not leave long lingering markings all over the skies, and I grew up near by a major airport.

Something is going on that is causing "exhaust " trails to linger in the air for many hours. Con trails evaporate quickly. And, because everything is so compartmentalized now a day, I doubt even the people doing bad things... know they are doing bad things.

It sort of like when I was in the Navy late at night, sitting with my shipmate telling dirty joke one night on the fan tail. India was burning down, but out near their a small ship set off flares. They were having a ship board fire just off the horizon probably about 14miles away from us. Except my ship was not suppose to be there as we were in a state of Warfare with Iraq. Yes, we were far away from the action, but our position still could not be given away.

Anyway, the order was put out to " put out the "Smoking lamp, " and come inside the ship despite what many of us saw reported and saw on the fan tail.

Anyways we pull into our port of call the next day. I kid you not, a local band meets us on the dock. So, much for secrecy. I find out later that a ferry carrying about 7o something people caught fire and sank. I guess some big politician's daughter was on board and died.

Anyways, I don't know anything for certain. I don't know if being there to help would have changed anything. Not my problem. Do I say anything now of any significance . No can't it has been a long time. What good would anything do? Who would believe me and do anything anyways. It was wartime after all.

Planes have ALWAYS been able to produce persistent contrails, when they were in the conditions required. You make the same dumb assumptions that all chemtards make.

PLENTY where I grew up, in a Boston suburb. Growing up "near" an airport means you are even LESS likely to see high altitude flyover traffic. You are more likely to only see aircraft in the pattern.

Contrails last as long as the conditions that allowed for them to persist to begin with, last. Just like ice will stay frozen in the freezer.

And because you are remote, that means aircraft are flying HIGHER over your area, typically, on their way to points far away. It's called "high altitude flyover traffic". Learn about it, if you have a few minutes to not be lazy.
