They aren't riddles.
They are parables and analogies.
Now try it again and see if it doesn't make more sense.
I think there are lies in the Bible, mostly having to do with who is chosen and who is not and where they came from and who they became.
But the mysticism and spiritual lessons remain intact.
It's like someone is trying to give you a Ferrari and you won't take the keys.

There are other more current sacred books, spiritualist and new age teachings, that are much easier to find the good parts because the good parts exist throughout, not just here and there. They make more moral and ethical sense than does the Old or New Testament. It would be better if thousand year old bibles were simply discarded and replaced by more enlightened teachings rather than re-labeled as allegory, because allegory and parable doesn’t change the moral point of the story or how erroneously God and life after death is portrayed in them.
