I believe in reincarnation. God wants us to recreate paradise but will not take away our free will by forcing mankind to do so. We choose to create earthly heaven or earthly hell. Telling people that it's some magical place up in the sky and that the rapture will result in heaven is all bs to make people neglectful in their fight against evil.

Forgiveness is when you teach the next generation not to make the same stupid mistakes you made.

Also... God does not torture the innocent. Christians weird me out when they celebrate Jesus's torture. You don't do that when you love someone. The symbolic drinking of his blood reminds me of adrenachrome. It's creepy.
