Doesn't a former resident have immunity which can only be lifted by a vote in the Senate?
If a simple District attorney can arrest a former president, the US is a banana republic.
Even low politicians in Germany carry immunity from persecution which can only be voided by a vote in Parliament.
So are there no such laws in place in the US to protect Presidents from banana Republic style political persecution?
