these generative models which predicts "what comes next" in text could be applied to robotics it seems to me, to produce robots that move like atheletes

in terms of its level of understanding, its able to explain in detail what is shown in an image

it's able to write complex computer code, for example, it wrote code to embed in "discccord" a chat server to allow users to interact with it, when it initially had problems he just pasted the error messages and it fixed it

it can read 16 pages of tax code and give a detailed explanation of the taxes someone owes ( which is probably why it scored in to 10% on a bar exam ... it literally did well enough on a bar exam to become a licensed lawyer )

we seem to have almost created our replacements

this isn't 50 years from now, this is happening now, and in another 5 years it seems to me we're likely to see something that has true human level and super human level general AI
