My Mom "throws stuff around". Is that a normal thing for old people to do?

If something I've noticed with my parents too in the 60's is that lack of sex is honestly one of the contributors, because the brain is not producing Oxytocing and Dopamines.

Also, if people don't read or hobbies, they tend to do the same shit over and over and it increases their anger, they are mad, angry.. and if you ask something, they answer with attitude the simple questions that you can come with.

Get a job, pay bills, help out.

That's not the case here.

I've actually been paying my own way since age 14 and have been "out of the house" for decades, put myself through college and had a career that paid the bills pretty well.

I'm back now for a couple reasons...the parents need to be looked after at their age, and I left my career due to the "covid" bullshit.

You know nothing about what I've been through with "my family".

My dad left when I was 9, it was basically a single mom thing going forward...she was a stripper and brought home drugged up guys who tried to get me drugged up too. Surprised I wasn't raped, because one even talked about it in detail.

Get a job, pay bills? I put myself through college and I paid bills since I was about 14. Helped the single mom get by during those years too.

I'm just done with this shit. So tired.

LOL, YES, I was "Fig Newton" I think about a year ago.

She blasts a loop of "30's Big Band" music all day, and it's still going on. The shop is supposed to close at 5, why is this still going on. It's the most obnoxious shit ever to have to listen to for several hours a day.

Maybe they feel they're getting ripped off. Slamming doors and things says someone is pissed off about something. Hire someone to help out and spend more quality time with mom.

I guess I better go downstairs and make sure she's not dead.

I have been the "mom" to this parent my whole life. I guess I need to ramp that up now.

She is fine and just left.

She's almost 80 and going into dementia. I'll do what I can for her, as the oldest child.

She may be angry, heartbroken and regretful has a lot of disgust with what life has brought her.

My dad left her 30 years ago, and she still to this day lives her life based on that, she will not let go if the past wtf?! To this day she blames her ex husband ifb30 years for all her daily problems, and refuses to look at her responsibility in their 30 year old dead relationship

She goes out of her way to be unhappy and makes others around her unhappy every single day

She lets the littlest most petty shit absolutely depress her, and she takes it out on those around her.. Like she has a mail mix up where the post office is returning her mail. She gets absolutely furious and depressed for weeks at a time because of the fucking mail mix up. "I'm worthless and I should probably just give up and die" ...all because of this little mail problem wtf?!

I mean wtf is she going to do with a large problem when it arises if she handles small oriented like that??

She refused to make any changes in her life, she'd rather be absolutely miserable than make a change that will help her

An example is of physical health, she won't change her diet and go to any doctors (even though they're free for her), she would rather sit alone miserable and PRETEND like her life is so terrible, than go meet me people or get mental help

Most of her daily life is just her pretending to miserable and convincing herself she's miserable and worthless.

She refuses to talk about what is really wrong and bothering her, she would rather scream and treat those that are reaching out to help her like shit

Why are so many godamn women like this?? They have no fucking common sense and can't see shit past their own little petty problems

It may be the beginning of cognitive decline and the development of dementia. Especially if she didn't use to be like that before.

Ah I see. Well yeah. Sorry to hear that. Yeah it can get bad as it progresses. The more she gets confused the more she may become confrontational and even violent.
