Re: I'm over 50, never married, no kids. . .anyone else?
A lot of people choose to not have kids.

It used to be that families stayed together.

When I was growing up aunt's, uncles and other relatives were always at our house. The kids stayed close with each other and with our parents.

Around the late 80's this all changed. Family became more of a throwaway thing.

Most people today don't even communicate with their siblings, so very rarely do.

Kid's do seem to grow up and move on with their lives without caring about who raised them.

My two kids stay in contact, but one lives pretty far away and the other is married and works long hours.

We do spend holiday's together...

At least I raised two great kids who thrive in life.

The way the world is now, it's sort of pushes for families separating. Friends are hard to come by as well.

It's sad but it's life.

However, I am more than thankful for having the opportunity to raise great kids.

Why should someone be concerned with carrying on their bloodline?

Sincere query.

Never wanted kids or to be married. My early dream was to be a smoke jumper. Right when I gave up dating, literally 24 hours later, we met.

Gotta say, 28 years later, I’m pretty sad the last kiddo left for college. I miss them and realize, they’re the greatest experience I’ll ever have. By far.

Sometimes I feel good about it...
Sometimes I feel not so good about it..

Not leaving someone behind kinda sucks...
But this world is horrible, so there's that.

It appears to me, most of the people with grown kids are ignored by those kids...

So why bother having kids right?

I am 30 and am going to end up like you having kids adds unnecessary stress and problems in your life.

Woman 53 no kids, not really any regrets. In all honesty you get to live a LOT more life without them if you use it wisely, don't sit around moping. But do try to find some child free friends so you are not bored rotten with the entire life built around their breeding skills for the rest of your life, lol.

Sp boring hearing nothing but how their life revolves around children from 10 - 50 years old rofl

52y/o, never wanted kids so never had them, never wanted to impose my fucked up upbringing and generational trauma into someone else so never did, besides I don't like kids, don't have patience for screeching howls or sticky hands and trash everywhere. Best decision ever made. Don't regret it a bit, I'm childfree and love it. Free to do whatever the hell I want and when my time comes i'll go the same way I arrived, alone and naked.

Married my high school sweetheart, enlisted got stationed in Germany where we got to see the Berlin wall come down together. Our son did the same except he got to see beautiful Afghanistan. Thanks to the scamdemic he and wife along with 3 grandkids now live a couple doors down the street. Nothing I ever did meant anything to me while alone, and I wouldn't change a thing!

After 3 husbands - (ALL DIED) I think after my first marriage with my son... I should have just dated them... not married them.

It is expensive to marry men when you own your own business.
And, you are now obligated to help their grown children financially.

Not fun.

Im 32, almost 33. Never married no kids. I don't have trouble with women, I have just never met one that I thought was worthy of marriage or that I could see being the mother of the children.

I do want both but not with the wrong woman just to do it.

Re: I'm over 50, never married, no kids. . .anyone else?
I have raised three daughters and just turned 50.
I think I have been a great Father to them, always there for them, showing them love and attention.
I have provided for everything they ever needed.
I addition I tried to show them how to be a good person and to contribute to this world in a positive way.
I can honestly say that how your kids treat you have a lot to with their personality.

I have one Daughter that got the car that I helped provide and took off. She never calls or returns calls or really cares. She is into the me, myself, and I social media culture. I never let my kids get into social media when they lived with me. I could se how fake and wrong most of the social media shit is. She also seems to play the victim role for some reason, causing drama for no reason. It is strand and have never understood why she does this.

The other two Daughters are very loving and caring people. They will always be there and show a lot of empathy for people in general.

I have often thought about why one is so different the others. I have treated them all the same but yet one is so different.

The only thing I can come up with is some people are just born assholes and there is nothing you can do about it.

50 is young for a man, it's far from to late for you to have a child now. Even if your mate is a female 50 or so she may still be able to carry. Maybe if you have regrets you should rethink the choice and get it done. Have a child. I'm somewhat sorry I didn't take the gamble, just grab any old guy and have at least one kid. When I moved to Nashville I was 47, and still very fertile. I passed.

Now I made friends with two kids having a gayby. It takes a village.

My father had four generations of children, his youngest at 60.

I am twice married and no kids.

I live knowing that at the end, I'll be on my own.

It didn't seem proper to bring a child into the world we are experiencing. So we never did.

Wife has 3 sisters, all unmarried and no kids.

I married twice. First wife was a HOT brazillian. Sex was fantastic. Got divorced 5 months later. Nutty gal.

Second marriage I married someone 13 years older than me. I needed that stability.

We are still married 16 years later. No kids and very happy.
