HOW IS IT THAT THROUGHOUT ALL TIME, IT IS EXTREMELY RARE THAT A HUGE QUAKE HITS A METROPOLIS?

is it 'God'? it just seems like impossible odds. yah, i'm aware of the big one in SF etc, but how is it that all these huge quakes are in relatively unpopulated areas?

Mexico City is in a quake zone... fkn 30 million people there. but the big ones seem to always hit outside the city. Siesmoliogists all know that mex. city is due...but...
and How can any japanese city still be standing? CA metro areas are all due. Salt Lake city as well.

in a single week we could have two big quakes in metro areas that would destabilize this fragile economy.

is mother nature just toying with man? Civilization is nothing against earth/cosmic changes. ...fkn nothing. We could go back to the 1800's on any day of the week.
