I know many trans (women), (and others) that are normal everyday people.

The one in the news (and others) are troubled people, with mental issues, that I think turned to this solution, thinking it would give them some type of fellowship, or common bond, but found out thats not how it works, and at the end of the day ended up still a human being filled with anger, rage, resentment...whatever...makes them turn their back on society.

Pretending you are doing it for some "cause" is stupid, and while I hope to read this persons "manifesto", I dont think it will provide any real insight in the end.

BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE. TRANS PEOPLE ARE NOT NORMAL. THEY HAVE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM AND IT MANIFESTS WITH A CONFUSED IDENTITY. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TRANS, YOUR MALE OR YOUR FEMALE AND ANYTHING YOU DO SIMPLY ATTEMPTS, ALBEIT POORLY, TO CONCEAL THAT IDENTITY.

He would be an idiot not to wait til after puberty. Once it gets hair and veins, he won't give it up. Ergo why most men do not cut theirs off.

The goal is to give the young kids hormones early on to keep that peepee small.

At some point, various medications were developed that could make short-term changes pretty obvious. Maybe short-term isn't the right term, but what i mean is the person taking hormones could see a lot of change (relative to what had been) pretty quickly.

Also, surgical options began to be employed rather quickly. And the people are told this will fix their problems.

Before, I think they had to go through more therapy.

Now, some people might just choose on their own to more or less cross dress and use a different name. But, not everyone is doing that. There are doctors that specialize in medical interventions.

If you don't believe me, people do post about these things in the internet. They post pictures of their transitions and say what they did. If they are old enough to make these decisions and happy with the results, well, i guess there's not a problem.

But, not everyone is happy with the results. And it doesn't always fix all their problems even if things go okay medically speaking. Because people are complicated.
