I just love morning like this!" she says and I agree she lay on her side watching me but doesn't stir again until she hears me crack the eggs she sits with the blanket over her shoulders her hair all a mess her bare feet pulled together with her knees up holding a cup of coffee in both hands and I don't think I've ever seen anything more beautiful in my entire life i dont pay attention to the world ending. it has ended for me many times and began again in the morning. |

She was probably 20 years old, from Detroit and never got her car registered when she moved to Socal...so she was committing insurance fraud if she even had it. The last view of her I had was in my rearview mirror of her getting out of her car. Quoting: Buck Tardwater I've never seen such beautiful karma dished out in my life. I laughed hysterically for 30 minutes straight. You win the 'most out of left-field' award. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 81635214 United States 03/30/2023 11:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I lived on the west coast of Florida back in the 90s and worked at a dive shop. The shop specialized in manatee tours in the winter but in the summer there was little to do so we'd go spear fishing out on the Gulf of Mexico. Coming back in one evening everything aligned. The tide was turning so the water wasn't just still but flat and motionless just like a mirror. On top of that the weather was as calm as I've ever seen it on the ocean. It was a crystal clear, moonless night. We were far enough off the coast that we couldn't see any lights from the shore and it was so dark you couldn't see the horizon. Quoting: Poster Nutbag What resulted was the most awesome thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Whether I looked up or down, all I saw was stars. It was like being on a boat in the middle of space. Truly an epic wonder of complete chance. My boss, the captain of the boat, said he'd never seen anything like it in his almost 50 years running boats out into the gulf. He actually slowed the boat down to prolong the event. It lasted for nearly half an hour before we could see lights from the shore. And just like the night it happened, I'm sitting here with goosebumps on top of goosebumps in awe of God's wonder and majesty. Great thread OP. 5* Thanks for helping me relive a truly wondrous moment. That is a great freakin' answer right there. |
