Good luck Op I have been dealing with pancreas problems for about 23 years now. There's not to much they can do but give some meds and help manage it. I had a blockage back in 2000 and they removed it and placed a stint In. 20 years later it's coming back to get me. The pain that hits me is off the fucking charts sometimes. All my number and scams come back within the good range but I still have the pain that sometimes is debilitating. Most doctors are not educated to deal with the pancreas and most hospitals don't know what to do about it. I live in a state that luckily has one of the best pancreas units in the country I am told. IU Indianapolis. They are the ones that did an ERCP in 2000. I am going to be sent back down there soon so they can see what's going on again. I wish you good luck and prayers. It can be a mother fucker to deal with.

My brother is an alcoholic and he gets it all the time from drinking. It’s painful as hell, but he won’t stop drinking.

It's from toxicity and dehydration. Try colon cleansing, liver cleansing and juicing vegetables (carrots and celery and spinach) and fasting. Drink spring water and eat more vegetables. Read Andrea Moritz's books and Norman Walker's books.

Why not talk to them about helping you with that while you're there if you can't taper down yourself?

They could probably give you something to lessen the symptoms of withdrawal, if that's part of what keeps you drinking.
