Can I jump in my kayak to survive the pole shift floods?
Live at 2500 feet in the sierra nevadas in California. When the world stops spinning and the water wants to continue, will it slosh over my house? If so, can I jump in my sea kayak and ride out the wave? Should I keep it on my roof to be safe?

Seems pretty unsafe. I’d rather have something like a floatable hamster ball.

I like to think you might have enough time to fire up a hot air balloon and see it all from above, but that might be pretty sketchy too, as nobody mentions air
Currents in their approximation of what happens during a pole shift.

Maybe Elon and Bezos building rockets isn’t a bad idea…sit
It out in orbit, and plan a splash down when it all settles?

I’m just going to pray to God, and either I will survive or not.
Always remember these words: Work hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty! That is the Turtle Hermit way! We must master the art of peace in addition to the art of war!

Well if Atlantis couldn't survive with their advance technology, a Kayak would be inadequate. Just saying. Better chance in a helium filled balloon with an enclosed basket/pod large enough for supplies to last a few months. Just cruise with the trade winds at around 8000 ft until the chaos ends.

Imagine the current speed of all that water retreating back to the lower elevations.
