I went there for my usual...what I have been getting every friday since 1989

2 big macs, 2 fish o filets w/all the fixins, large fry and a large diet soda.


It was $23...no wonder...good riddance

Also staffed by black people who get your order wrong. No more mcdonalds for me

The one here was one of the hang out and Cruising spots after sunset.
The girls would mostly get some fries or something and sit in the lot or on the outside tables and guys would always cruise through the parking lot then down to the skating rink to turn around and go back through town.

The burgers there are crap now. The only thing I eat there is some mornings I will stop and get a sausage biscuit on the way to work if I do not grab something from home.

I don't remember it being that bad even into the 90s. I had to show a young friend of mine some old videos of McDonald's in the 80s. He couldn't believe the workers were wearing dress shirts and slacks, manager in a tie, in and out of the drive through in 90 seconds... He was also astounded by how comparatively "fancy" the interior of the restaurants were.

The stuff they sell now is always tasteless slop. Seriously, close your eyes and bite into a chicken sandwich. If you didn't see it was a chicken patty you could hardly tell the difference between it and a burger. No flavor. Cheap sauces, tasteless tomatoes, wilted lettuce. Plus, these meals always upset my stomach now. Fries could be fried cardboard strips. Flavorless... Not even the taste of potatoes!

It used to be adults working these joints who had some sense!

Yeah, make sure you get your diet coke with that, fatass.

In the 70's as a teenager I could devour a big mac and 2 large fries and still be hungry. And that's when big macs were really big (!)

Many countries are moving away from anything out of the US. Including, Russian, India, and many more.

They can speed up service by stop trying to compete with Starbucks with their bullshit flavored foo-foo drinks.

Just focus on coffee and soda please.

Get rid of all frappes and lattes and flavored teas.

The irony is Russia knew this would occur. It was part of their strategy. The sanctions have backfired bigly on the west and it's only just beginning!

Good comments, it depended where you were but it was true that I think even into the 1980s most McDs were still reasonably well managed and the quality of the food was still decent. I think the decline started in earnest in the 1990s for sure. I worked in a store back in the early 1980s and did the grill. The food quality was still quite good and the management mostly competent. I worked with an all white staff, no bad apples at all.

But why do so many people love it?

What baffles me - I hear even rich wealthy kids talk about craving McDonalds and looking forward to eating it. I mean, these kids can afford to eat anything.

Damn dude with all that you could eat just once a week.

Eat in a supermarket deli. You’ll get better food than McDonald’s. The 10 dollars you’d pay at McDonald’s wi get you much more.

They love it because it contains MSG which is much worse for you than salt..

I'm not sure, except that from what I can understand even many younger generation people today attach the brand with what used to be good about America, and are attracted to the
connections if not the actual food today.

I've had many younger people tell me (yes I am at the tail end of the boomer) that they really which they could experience the kind of life we did, they know that times were better before their time. It actually makes you hurt inside when you hear these kids say that.

Something weird is going on. Cancel meetings with vendors and work from home? That’s some really bizarre behavior.

It contains huge amounts of salt AND sugar. They balance each other out so the levels of both can increase. It is fatpeople crack. If they were smart they would have put a third window in the drive thru for the insulin shot.
