The modified uracil is in the mRNA and increases the number of times the mRNA replicates. There is no enzyme to break down the modified uracil, like trans-fat acids, they will be in the body for a long time. Being in the body, they can be used for normal mRNA production of other random proteins, ribozymes, and normal enzymes. One of the theories of the weird clots found by morticians was that the modified uracil allowed runaway production of arterial wall, or some other protein that clumped together. This is frightening to me because you break down proteins in your stomach to the amino acid, and RNA/DNA down to the bases which are then absorbed in the lining of the intestines. |
