If You are an Alcoholic. . . | |

That would present a threat to existing power structures. Alcohol is a much lesser depressant that helps social anxiety but nowhere near what opiates have done for thousands of years. |

Steps 13 and 14, I guess. Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. “They’ve got us surrounded again, the poor bastards.” - U.S. Army Paratrooper at Bastogne |

Needless to say they are all dead now , I stopped thankfully but I still take a small drink maybe 2 or 3 times a year |

That's the only negative really. Grow before last was open pollenation so not much to vape on. Last grow had a death in the family and had to leave town for 3 weeks. 2/3 of my moms/clones survived at least. Sad thing is I live in a legal weed state. 95% of the shit at stores tastes like pesticides. |
Dr.PICKLE User ID: 77797598 United States 04/08/2023 09:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was an alcoholic for years. Now I drink once a week. When I feel like it. I don't have a personality problem. I love to drink. It's fun. Most people are content to go to work, go to dinner. Mow the lawn, wash the truck. Those people are morons that love conventional activities. When they drink, it ruins them. I can drink, eat and go to bed and wake up early and do whatever I need to do. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 84209978 Canada 04/08/2023 10:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I suspect addicts are more sensitive, maybe more bright than average. This breads a trait of inner suspicion of ones personal superiority. I feel things no one else gfeels, I can see thongs no one else can see. This results in inner isolation, existentialism. My emotions are different than others, no one understands. Often they grew up in a family which says certain things cannot be talked about. Promises are not kept, apologies were lip service. "It's all bullshit", "they're all morons". YOu just grew up in an alcoholic family whop was was not aloud to discuss feelings, because if there was ever a silence, pain would be felt, and then rage would ensue. So must be happy stimulation all the time. Never feel, because feelings make people feel and do bad things. The alcoholics I know, and most people I lnow are addicts, Im not. They are all uber social, most popular, great social skills, always say the right thing, never stand pout for saying something you shouldn't. Always in the right place at the right time. So cool. And always telling me "not to say that." I think alcoholics could benefit from taking theatre lessons and letting the little people out. Also, find a higher power, because all they saw was betrayal by adult humans. They need to realize others mow the lawn because we consider other people. Others have something else in their hearts: Inner Peace. YTpu cant make others your focus for wisdom, you have look higher, and help other people if you're so terrific. Ypu are sensitive, and have been hurt, and feel powerless, and that is expressed by your powerlessness over alcohol. Simple logical psychology. |

Is that also some part of the addiction? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84439598 No my friend,, if you can go to a bar and have a few drinks and have some laughs and go home and no think about drinking more you are NOT an alcoholic… “Build thee more stately Mansions oh my Soul, and leave my outgrown shell upon the Waters of Life.” “Be ye therefore like the grasses and yield to the inevitable forces of Nature and in so yielding survive”. -Sage . . . |
