FOOD SHORTAGE = FALSE PANIC
Give me a break...

You people are the ones that have been saying the neo-con agenda requires further false-flag crises --

Either a terrorist attack, pandemic, etc.

This just happens to be the one they chose. A suffering economy + food shortage = panic buying, while at the same time breaking the middle-class.

Wake up. We're not out of food, whether because of prices, etc. The government could at any time declare an emergency and inject money into the food market to relieve buyers from over-pricing, but they won't.

This is just something that has to happen for them.

So when you hear the government ADMITS a food crisis, think why they would admit that.

Yeah, there was plenty of food at Walmart last night. No signs of panic. I think this just may be an internet panic.

Maybe this "food crisis" was created to stimulate the economy, think about it, the $600 checks are coming soon.

Re: FOOD SHORTAGE = FALSE PANIC
I sucked it up and went to Wally World last night (SD, Black Hills) just to check it out. There was plenty of regular food, but the vegetable oil and canola oil shelf was totally bare, the flour and sugar area was picked over and mostly gone, as were most of the big sacks of rice.

Other than that, it was pretty normal, lots of fat people with their tribe of fat kids wondering around with carts full of twinkies, chips, and beer running into each other.

Remind me not to go back.

Costco in Boise out of the 4 types of rice they normally carry. They even took the pallets out and substituted other things. YUK this is not good since Boise has a lot of people who are normally set for a year.

Actually is not the neocon government doing it, its the leftist-looney liberal media. But remember, most GLPers are radical woo-woo leftists, so its much sexier to blame it on neocons.

The problem with your theory is that the government doesn't have the surpluses, nor the stored grains, that you would need for the injection.

We are NOT fully stocked anymore. That's a fact. The USGovernment can no longer feed the nation for more than about 3 days on the grains stored.

I didn't get into the panic over buying rice because I've been stocking up on rice for TWO years already (thank you, GLP, for the alert). I didn't need to buy more. The whole "shortage" came thru the MSM only this week, and what that tells me is that they are about 3 weeks to 3 months behind on the truth of the situation.

More will come out. After all, Chertoff-and-the-boys started out warning us to have three days' worth of food in our larders. Now they recommend TWO WEEKS' worth.

Why?

Because if the shit hits the fan, they do not have enough to cover this nation. The corn went to ethanol, and the grains got hit by all the many factors that exist right now...either too much rain or too little rain, etc.

My effort now is to continue to stock up, to can and dehydrate the harvest from my own little SQUARE FOOT GARDEN, and to watch the bastige Chertoff.

Re: FOOD SHORTAGE = FALSE PANIC
I live in a place where we depend on incoming shipments of food to a greater degree than most. It is just responsible to save some food. I just bought a few gallons of oil to contribute to my storage.

It is just wise.
