I can tell you that BBAB died because their price point was way too high for their made in China stuff. If they were at Target level or below, they would have fared much better because they sold some stuff that other places did not.

It's always a very bad sign when people intending to buy walk out of a store without a purchase. It's for one of two reasons: the crap is priced wrong and/or the crap is so bad that people wouldn't take it even if it were dirt cheap.

This is what happens when one is stupid enough to invest in the stock market. Especially since the USD is no longer reserve status. Laughing at the predditors' portfolios as the libbie hopes and dreams die a painful death.

I had a few millennial coworkers ask me if I trade 'meme' stocks. I said "No, I'm an investor, not a gambler."

To be fair, some of them did make some good money playing these meme stocks.

They started in Ny and in its suburbs. Before they expanded/ballooned out, I enjoyed shopping there. Yes their merch was a bit higher, but they made up for it with a good selection of hard-to-find items.

For some entitled reason, they though that they had a manifest destiny to expand all over.

Just because a store is successful in the NY area, that is obviously not a guarantee that it will thrive anywhere and everywhere.

We went there few years back around 2019 or so,and we were asking for help,had items to buy,and could not get 1 person over for about 15 mins...

So we put down the items and left and never went back,nor would i...

No help,to get some item off a top shelf we needed,and we asked nicely few times but nothing.

I knew back then that store was dead!

IT WAS WORTH IT TO TEACH THE MY PILLOW GUY A LESSON.

My wife has a joke about the store “Big Lots” as they have these advertisements that almost make you feel sorry for them. She calls it “Big Lots Energy.”

I got an email from Bed, Bath, and Beyond YESTERDAY… not sure why as I basically never go to stores particularly that one, titled “Knock. Knock. We’re still here!”

I was going to send it to our family and say “Big Lots Energy”

I guess I should have done it while I had the chance.

BB&B is like Pier 1, fine frou frou items that sell well during a good economy. But when you are in a pedo joe economy and it takes way more money just to get by, frou frou items go by the wayside.

My, now closed, store was always a ghost town. Parking lot was empty of cars on the busiest days for the other stores.
