My wife and started shopping there to take our business away from that leftist autistic turd, Jeff Bezos. Although the lowest price is not our main concern since we make good incomes, we purchased a membership and received a 20% discount on every purchase plus free shipping on all orders. We were shopping in our local BB&B at least once a week on average and had made multiple online orders.

Then they had to show their leftist New Jersey roots by supporting the fentanyl freak (Curious Georg Floyd) and then banning My Pillow products after the election. We have not bought one thing from them since. And we did not renew our membership.

It's no surprise they installed Sue Gove as CEO last June and now the company is liquidating its assets, unless they are bought out. That seems to be the final nail in corporate coffins; install a useful idiot leftist female. And let's not forget that CFO who jumped from the Jenga building after lawsuits concerning a pump and dump scheme by BB&B. Once a corporation forgets ethics and morals, they are at risk of starting an unstoppable decline.

Now AB InBev is falling on their own leftist petard, thanks to another useful female idiot. It seems that corporations would learn from the failures of their contemporaries to FOCUS ON GOOD BUSINESS TO BE PROFITABLE and put the leftist ESG bullshit to the side. If they don't, they are going to keep pushing themselves too far to that ledge where their income from loyal customers dries up.

I buy something from there maybe once or twice a year. And that's only because I have one in my town. It's a nice store, but it's mostly empty of customers, except during the Christmas season. I feel some sadness to see these stores go under. I don't think it's because they went "woke". I think it's because the American economy is crashing.

That's what my wife and I did. And they lost two customers with the disposable income (even in this Shitty Joe economy) to be.regular customers who spent decent amounts of money there. Let this be a lesson to all corporations who allow themselves to become ESG warriors.

Exactly. BB&B is still a going concern in most aspects, at least for a while. They might well come out of bankruptcy and do well.

I’ve always enjoyed visiting their stores - clean, well-lit and well-stocked - and have purchased quite a number of household goods from them. They’re a little more expensive than what’s offered online, but I like knowing that at least some of my money stays in the local area.

Maybe that’s the case in whatever marginalized hellhole you live in or near, but here in the suburban NY/NJ Metro area, the exact opposite is true. I was in the one near my home not long ago, and all was in order; beautiful store, helpful staff, everything stocked.

Now, perhaps it’s different in locales such as Toothless, WV or Bumrot, Indiana, but things are still pretty decent here in the civilized world.

I know someone who worked there for 5 years(store level) in the early aughts, she cashed out her options at $68 and made a few grand on her way out the door.
The whole thing tanked the following year.

When I used to go to Bed Bath & Beyond 5 to 10 years ago, I never saw much in the way of customers.

My neighborhood is fill with delivery trucks now, because everybody shops online. Not only do they use UPS and Fedex, but they also use people in compact cars for deliveries.

Now that I'm retired, my shopping days are over.

This is just the beginning of the store closures. Back in 2008 I was really upset when all my favorite stores went tits up, like Radio Shack, Circuit City, and G.I. Joes.

Seems to be a reoccurring theme with these companies. It's too bad that people lost their investment money, but you should not invest in companies that are into social justice issues, or have become political... That is the worst investment you could possibly make given the history that we've had in a short few years.

Perhaps this is all part of the plan to collapse the United States... Its not like these companies haven't seen this play out before... But they just keep coming back to the same well.

The very original concept store that opened in Manhattan was fun for about one year. Originally it also had a cafe with sandwiches and treats. It just had an overall cool vibe and great selection of goods.
It went downhill very fast. I'd say it lasted two years before it became just another Macys. The coupons got annoying, all the millions spent on snail mail and coupons. Just have the sale already dumb asses. That's why they went out of business. You'd bring the coupon in and it was expired, then they would send you another one the next month, it was so stupid.
