Animals and humans
We tend to think animals are lower than us, but all the scientists in the world couldn’t design and operate a bumblebee’s wing. We can’t jump or run very fast, and we can’t carry vast weights like an ant can.

We can’t see in the dark and we can’t fly except when crammed in a noisy tube like sardines, which really doesn’t count.

Humans compared to animals are almost totally deaf. We are finite and separate, and neurotic, while the consciousness of an animal is at peace and eternal. We strive and go crazy to be the most important, and right. Animals rest and sleep, and enjoy each other’s company.

And WE think WE have evolved upwards from animals; but we have lost almost all of their qualities and abilities. The idea that animals are not souled beings or have consciousness is not only crass. It shows a lack of your own consciousness.

They talk. They have families. They feel things. They act individually or together to solve problems. They often care for their young as a tribal unit. They play, they travel, even medicate themselves when the get sick. They cry when others in the herd die. And they know about us humans.

Of course they are souls. We humans are only now attempting with the recent rise in consciousness to achieve the level of awareness that animals have naturally.

All of them! I've had so many over the years..... each one has a lesson to learn from.

I learn more from animals than i have ever learned from a human.

Animals teach us so much! Yet we can only abuse them.

Why is that? inferiority complex?

You just proved the OP correct with your post. Animals way smarter and more companionate than most humans. Congrats on proving yourself to be a lower form of life.

red_heart

I love feeding the birds. And squirrels. They all eat better than i do. At least I spend more on feeding my pets and outsiide furry/feathery friends than myself.

Re: Animals and humans
There's are 24/7 cams on a private horse pasture in Florida where a pair of bald eagles have come for many years to their yearly nest to raise their eaglets. This year their nest was destroyed by hurricane Ian and they had to rebuild it completely. As most years the female laid 2 eggs and together they cared for them and shared brooding for 35 days. Two eaglets hatched for the very experienced pair of parents. Eaglets take at least 4 months before they can leave the nest for good. They require constant care, protection and feedings.

At hardly 3 weeks old, the mother never returned and presumed dead from altercations with other eagles. The forests are being taken down to build up everywhere and animal populations of all species are stressed for shelter and food. The mother had to have been taken out as the most likely cause for demise. She would never just leave her eaglets. With the mother gone, predatory eagles can easily attach the nest and steal eaglet food which is exactly what started happening. In these situations the odds of only one parent being able to raise two eaglets alone is slim, but this experienced father did just that. He quickly became tattered looking while getting food, fighting off intruding eagles and many times food stolen that he had brought to his babies. He was scuffed up and dirty, but he never gave up. The eaglets are now nearing the time to leave and have grown larger than their father.

There's no doubt at all of the literal love, caring and fearlessness of this father who single handedly (wingingly) raised his babies all alone against the odds. He fought off preditors both day (intruding eagles) and night (owls that knocked him off his watchful perch).

Here they are on live cam now:

Here is one of many times this happened. Father (called M15) out hunting baby food and while away intruder enters his nest with his eaglets.

Humans can take a lesson or two from nature.
