There are Bible savants, this is not the first child who has found fresh knowledge in that book. I sought out the Bible as a child, I'll bet a lot of kids who grow up agnostic end up Christian. This ability is a gift some children have. Tomfoolery |

Quoting: Piece of Gossip I thought John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Was all that was really needed? With of course Matt 18 [20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. WHat do I know...as I posted in my link above...most Christians wouldn't even classify me as one. I understand it like that: All we as humans are Being (I am) plus our sensory perceptions. We perceive the world as we do because of our sensory perceptions. Same goes to the fish or plant or other lifeforms, who perceive a world according to their sensory perceptions. So what stays of all living beings, when we imagine we take away those sensory perceptions ? What stays is pure Being 'I AM' ... Gods being, dwelling and giving life to all of the trillions of lifeforms. That is how I understand "I am that I am" ... surrently, as I learn in life this understanding might change. Christianity is about a very simple thing. It is about recognizing one's own identity. You are basically right with your idea, the only mistake is that you don't realize that the personal I, which you think you are, is known by the I am. Your I is a product of the mind and appears in the form of thoughts. These thoughts (i.e. you) are seen and known by your actual 'I' just like feelings, sensory perceptions, images, bodily sensations. So you confuse seer and seen. To find the seer again, that is what it is about. With the person for whom you think you are, you have nothing to do for the time being. That lies completely in God's hand. Exactly as Jesus also said it of himself. I'm not too familiar with Christianity to be honest. I come more from the Rupert Spira type of non-dual path. But often I just babble what I read in his books without full understanding. Different religions and traditions use different narratives and terms, but they all point to one truth. It does not matter which of the many paths home you take. Not every path is equally suitable for every person. You have to find that out for yourself. Maybe also beyond Youtube. Christianity is also a direct path and non-dualistic ('being one with God') in its core. Especially with the Christian mystics this becomes obvious. The weakness of Christianity is that the contents of the scriptures are only understood by a few and the churches spread false doctrine, which aim at the success of the person and not at the 'I am' and the Spirit. |

God designed his plan for man to be simple, I'm really not sure why people find it so amazing when someone complicates that plan needlessly.... but that just me.... I have read his word in a lot of places even outside the bible, I wasn't looking for other ways God put his words out, really, and I am not kidding, it is everywhere in words and forms. His words will not be hidden, there are examples in the poem song and written WORD for this is part of creation, and he said, let there be light and there was light, light is the creation of God by the words of his mouth he spoke them into creation. Man speaks and creates because God made them this way, they speak their sorrow their hopes and fears, their love and their joy, and hopefully someday soon they will get their song back and sing with joy. I remember when we had our song, and people sang for sorrow and joy, then the song became silent. Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |

"being one with God" Agree with this and would add that the purpose of any religion is to make two one. To make oneself and God one. Simple message. Accept in christianity (the twisted cult myth) a dead jesus becomes the anointed one "christ" as the bridegroom in the marriage they use him the "savior" as a proxy for "God." A more realistic version would be that a guy named "jesus" (if he existed at all historically) went to Egypt and learnt some ancient mysticism about a sacred marriage and the alchemical or spiritual union between god and man that later became the metaphor of the bridal chamber. |

Piece of Gossip
(OP) User ID: 85761360 Russia 05/06/2023 01:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I do not disagree with the thought that the thread of Jesus is found throughout the O.T., however Jesus being the "pillar of fire by night and cloud by day" and well as many other poor examples is just wrong. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84893275 In my brief look into the ROC/Orthodoxy in general, I do believe it is widely accepted. Which is why I even bothered to watch the video itself as my old ROCOR property mate and I, when I visit, discuss such things late into the night with JD. Let their designs become hardened, so that whatever they have conspired shall return upon their own heads. For they have devised a plan, but it was not for them. They prepared themselves maliciously, but they were found to be impotent. Indeed my confidence is upon the Lord, and I will not fear. |
