I SURVIVED A STEMI...Anyone Else? I Also Want To Get Right With God

No stemi but I did confess my sins, reached for Jesus, asked to come abide with me 4 years ago. He grabbed my hand, gave me His peace, strength, forgiveness......I've never felf soooo loved. It's beautiful!!

My STEMI was a full blockage of the very, very deadly Widowmaker....The Left Anterior Descending Artery.

Less than ten percent of people who have one do not make it.

I'm using this time wisely to get right with, and to make peace with God.

Jesus allowed you to get sick in the first place, so there's no trusting him. My advice is ask Satan for guidance.

Though He slays me yet will I trust Him.

If any one of you have a full blockage of the LAD...Please know that you will not live to tell about it.

Many of you are likely walking around with a a clogged LAD...once it fully clogs with a clot or a piece of plaque...you will die.

Many of you are likely asymptomatic just as I was.

This is the weirdest humble brag/superiority thing ever. You lived to tell about it. So do many others. That being said, glad you survived.

A small percentage will live to tell about it, MOST will not.

Here's my story. I'm glad you made it too!!!
We're both very lucky!

I had a stent placed in my mid circumflex artery.
I was in the hospital for 3 days and left after
they said I was able to. It was the first and hopefully
last time I will ever be in a hospital. I was 58 at that
time. I am now 60 and feel fine. The only complaint
I have is I do not want to be on this medication for
the rest of my life. I feel tired and fatigued all the time
and never sleep good anymore. I'm not sure what happened.
Before this, I smoked pot to sleep because I've always
had insomnia. Even after I told the doctors, they never
said to stop. It seemed to help me. Now, not so much.

For a year I was on these meds and it never bothered me
Now I feel like I never sleep.

25mg Metoprolo - 1/2 a pill a day

50mg Losatan - 1/2 a pill a day

1500 mg Potassium - 1 pill a day

I used to take a blood thinner but he said only for a year
and now I'm off which is cool because I had all these
issues with bleeding for days when I cut myself at work
or at home. I'm a janitor so injuries happen.
(Fell on my elbow in Feb. 2023 because they did not
remove the snow/ice in front of the dumpster and
now I'm dealing with daily pain with that!)

So, I was a Christian before this and God definitely saved
my life. I had Diverticulitis, almost died from it in
July 2021. And in Jan. 2022 I had an urinary tract
infection. It went sepsis because I didn't know it
was that bad. Went to ER, there had a seizer and it
triggered a heart attack. They said if I had not been
in the ER WHEN I HAD THAT HEART ATTACK---I WOULD NEVER
HAD MADE IT AND I WOULD BE DEAD.

So, that is what happened to me. Still kicking...

I also suffered a Pericardial Effusion that resulted in Cardiac Tamponade.

The cardiologists say that I am a One Percenter...meaning 99 percent of people who suffer the same will not make it.

I told them that I'm going to donate my body to science so they can research the reason/reasons how I survived something like that.

I honestly do not know why God allowed me to survive all of that.

My STEMI happened at home...which makes it even rarer to survive one because the heart most often goes into cardiac arrest.

Felt dizzy tried to make it to my bed to lay down but fell to the floor and could not get up . Called out to my wife to help me get up and she manage it but could not hold me up when I totally collapsed and again I dropped on the floor .

She asked if she should call an ambulance and after thinking about it briefly I said no because I have a large abdominal aortic aneurysm and thought it had ruptured .

I saw not point in paying for a ambulance when I was going to die anyway . After 45 minutes had passed and I was still alive I decided it must have been my heart and let her make the call .
From the time I dropped to the time I made it to the er was just a little over 6 hours . I had a complete blockage . They said I should have died but obviously I did not .

I have permanent heart damage and I still have the aneurysm but do ok . Shortness of breath always tired but then again I'm seventy years old to .
Always I feel a pain in my heart area . blood pools in my feet if I stand to long and they hurt and turn a dark purple .

A widowmaker heart attack happens when you have a blockage in the biggest artery in your heart. That means blood can’t move through your left anterior descending (LAD) artery, which provides 50% of your heart muscle’s blood supply.

Your welcome . The scaring of the heart from the tissue that died can be a big problem after the fact . Anyway it is for me .

Glad you survived, are you testing your heart rate and BP, the metro can lower it enough to make you tired. Also, maybe you need B12 or iron for energy. I can't seem to do without.

How does the scarring affect you? Also what percentage of your heart is scarred?

I'm taking B-Complex and other supplements daily.

I do take the BP once in a while. It's never an issue.

The side effects from these pills is just getting

worse is what it is.

That's a good question. I asked, all he said was

'there's some damage'. In all heart attacks, there

is damage. I find it odd he would not tell me how

much damage there is.

Maybe see if your doctor would let you try out new BP, there's many different kinds. My sister and I both had side effects from Losartan, and metoprolol made my moms pulse go too low. I find the alpha and beta blockers work better, but everyone is different.
