This could be an envelopment in the making.

VIDEO BAKHMUT GEOGRAPHY MAY 17
While waiting for new detailed info from Bakhmut look at this video which show a large part of the contested Dominoes area, the last part of the Citadel. In the beginning you see the high buildings in the south in the background and then the open fields towards Ivanivske. After 10 second you look west. In the background you'll see the reservoir below Khromove and in the upper right corner a 3-4 story beige building, that's the Children's hospital. The low yellowish building you see occasionally is a school. in the end you see the tightly built garages. They doesn't seem to be much to base a defenceline on. You'll drive through them easily with a tank. All the time you also see russian artillery working.

The former Swedish military officer and defence analyst posting this calls it Russian artillery pounding any remnant of UKA still trying to hold. Remember the orders of Zelensky and Biden: to the last Ukrainian

You can see the flat featureless land beyond Bakhmut through which the Ukes must retreat….or advance ( though that is extraordinarily unlikely unless they want to relive The Charge of the Light Brigade into a volley of death

The artillery fire is all being directed outward from the buildings occupied now by Russia

Propaganda IS an art form with many complexities.
However if you discern this... Its purely bombardment of an area most likely entrenched by Ukie soldiers.

1854 is a different era especially with communications where many mistakes were made. My opinion is when moves are made towards Crimea.... Those mistakes wont be made and the outcome will be different...... Agreed ;)
