People really want us to eat crickets? Why! That’s so gross there’s so many other things to eat that seems so much more reasonable than crickets!

What do you mean sewage water? Like chemicals and stuff getting in it or they just turn off Water filtration? I notice the water by me is getting more cloudy to be honest. It’s weird.

Do you think organic food matters, or is that just another way to make more money?

Hi! I’m ok it’s been a long week I’m exhausted. Marathon shopping sessions, lots of sales right now and we could use some new clothes and shoes. All that winter wear is on special so we are stocking up so we don’t have to be cold as hell all day. I feel like a bug In a rug right now in a super poofy Sherpa hoodie and polar fleece pants. I got cool new jogging shoes that make my feet look like purple and green tarantulas!

No alcohol drinking going on but I just made honey soy chicken stir fry with rice (it was good) and making tea in about 5 seconds. I have no idea how I’m gonna do these dishes as my back is beginning to rebel after all the shopping activities.

I have a gasoline generator and a rechargeable, solar generator, Ecoflow works very good, totally off grid water collection and power, just a a fire number to be reached in case of fire.

I was confused at first when I read your post. You said it’s really cold. And I’m like. It’s summer. And I know some places are still cold now. But then I realized it says you are from Australia. I forgot our summer is your winter! So makes sense.

The shoes sound very cool.

The stir fry sounds good but I would prefer some nicely grilled chicken instead of soy chicken. But I’m sure it was delicious.

I love tea.

My great grandmother used to say chamomile tea was the cure for lots of issues. It calms you down. Helps sleep. Settles the stomach.

I have this ginger peach turmeric tea right now that is amazing.

That’s good you have both generators. If for some reason there’s an issue you have the gasoline one. But that’s really cool you have those. How do collect water if you don’t mind me asking. And when you do, do you boil it or how do you filter it?

Yeah IBC tank with a makeshift huge like funnel for rain, also I keep a smaller tank on the truck to be filled with drinkable water and an electric transfer pump that works with the truck battery it pumps out and allows me to take showers in summer or to fill a small plastic kid’s pool for the dog. The whole purpose of this cabin living is to learn how to live without those essential things like water power and sewer, not easy not for everyone. Just last night got cold and my wood stove is small and needs to be feed every two hours so there you have it, not a whole night of straight sleep but I love this place, the birds the peace cover up all those other things. Bar will open soon and that Tennessee wiskey will be flowing again haha

My old roommate/bandmate of years and years is a diehard Caneiac.. I'm hopeing the canes go all the way this year.
