With the cooling of the planet we will see yet another lackluster hurricane season

Force 13 Team informs that Mawar is still a powerful cyclone with estimated 140 MPH winds and 939 mb pressure.

Typhoon is 6 to 10 hours out from a potential Guam landfall.

7 AM in Guam. Plenty of time for eye wall to reform and strengthen or weaken...

Maybe, maybe not.

Possible good news, bad news on Typhoon Mawar.

Good news is Mawar may be trying to head north in the 10-11th hour. North would spare Guam a landfall.

Bad news is Mariana Islands could be impacted.

While Mawar has turned NNE heavy bands below what's left of large southern eye wall could still clip northern Guam and its Air Force Base.

Mawar is moving away from Guam after passing slightly north.

Sustained winds near island still high - 90 MPH-ish. Looks like high tide coincided with strong southerly winds on south and southwestern side of Guam around 12:45 AM local time (about an hour ago).
