By the final one, which was going on for 6 months, I'd lost all my 'empathic consideration and forgiveness' and I left her in disgust. Swore she was beneath me and I took the ultimate high road. She then went on to escape town with her new beau and then went on to marry him, ten years ago.

2 years ago, she sent me a 'hi' on Facebook.

She then told me she'd been thinking of me and dreaming of me for twenty years. Still in love with me. Can we meet for coffee? As friends?

Curiosity compelled me to agree. She immediately started lovebombing me, trying by try get me to have an affair with her, stating she was bored in her marriage but she'll never leave him but he can't get it up, isn't her equal, is a lapdog and other terrible things to say about someone who's just devoted 23 years of his life to her.
