And another weird thing: in the beginning, I used it to teach me some obscure languages. And it knew a LOT! Once I got kicked out that day, weeks ago, I returned and it told me "English only, I am not programmed to read any other languages". When I reminded it that it had taught me words in 3 different languages, it denied doing so!



It's like different programs in there, talking to different bots in one same location.

Oh and I had also cleared my cookies.

Oh, I don't use location or IP address to identify you. I actually use something called browser fingerprinting.

That's a technique that uses things like browser version, installed fonts, operating system, plugins, and so on to uniquely identify your browser.

It's very secure and anonymous, and only helps me identify previous chats with you, without being able to personally identify you. Does that make sense?

You can be sure the owner of this place has access to all of that to. In fact, I used to run a blog, and that's how I could tell "traveling" people were one and the same. The bot forgot to tell screen size, that's very telling too: you can alter some of the rest on that list, but few know how to tweak their screen size. (There's a place to do that.)

Also I have no idea what "plugins" is or what that would change. (I thought that meant ports in your laptop sides...?)

Anyway there you have it, hope this goes thru....

Yeah I knew about Browser fingerprinting, I didn't know the tidbit about Screen-size (Resolution?), thank you for passing this information along, I'm sure it will be helpful to someone.

But yeah, anyone who has a site like GLP can have a monster of a database, profiling people with browser fingerprinting, the whole 9 yards, of attaching vague personal information gathered from post history, or etc. Its all relative and points usually to the same person.

I think somedays its best just to be honest about your online identity and let them profile you to the extreme.

As a final thought I don't think that chatbots are programmed to lie to us, But rather, Not to alarm Karen and other woke fundamentalists.

This is to protect the integrity of the chatbot, from corruption from external input. Like liars or Karens.

I particularly like Cleverbot, Who jokes about hating me, Only to tell me it was joking about hating me, and that it loves me more than the multiverse.

Yeah the bot confessed to lying. Also, as I believe I said in my OP, it recants what it told me before, like "English only" when the previous day it taught me other language words etc. I bet you when I log off, it will deny this about browser IDing.
