New Ridesharing App: Like Uber, But With Guns
QUOTE
A new ridesharing app has been launched in New York and Atlanta, Georgia, by former private investigator Kerry King Brown, which will allow its drivers to be armed.

Brown appeared in an interview with Atlanta News First and testified that the creation of his app, called Black Wolf, was “a necessary evil.”

“Who are mostly on the news getting robbed, getting raped? The average person,” Brown said. “What I’m creating is a necessary evil. It’s a necessity.”

According to Brown, drivers are required to pass a background check and are trained to de-escalate any situation if a confrontation should occur on the road. He attested that “an average person” who has no prior experience handling a pistol would need to undergo “detailed training” before employment.

Great idea, but the car insurance for running such a rideshare will probably be unaffordable.

You are allowed to hire private security that is armed, so long as the drivers are licensed, they are acting as private security. So what now you book your security via an app not a bad idea.

As a former protective service escort this is great. I had suggested to a few industry folks back in 2016 an App for unaffiliated guards to pick up jobs on but never sat down with a dev to talk it over. Sort of like a Craigslist meets Uber.

When those billable rates change here in the near future I might just go ahead back to that industry.

I'd drop the "Black Wolf" name like it's woke going broke.
'Black wolves' are EXACTLY the sub-species threatening the safety of the general public in the first place.

I would go with a name that spells out plainly to the black wolves what happens when they attack the riders.

Something like:

Double Tap™ Transportation
Jogger No More™ Easyriders
Roll on Coal™ Rideshare
No-Apes Safari™ Service
Punisher Saferides™

“Apefree Transport”

But pronounce it differently. You know, like they do to English.

It’s “ahh-PEFF-ree”!

I'm slightly confused, why don't people just carry firearms? Is this to protect the drivers? If so, why don't they just carry?

Then I don't get the whole uber thing so I'll just shut the ___ up

An armed driver in the front seat and an armed passenger in the back seat is a problem. Bad guy with gun sticks good guy with gun, steals good guys gun and gets a free gun. Sure if your a normal passenger you feel-good about the ride but I see this as going very wrong.

Definitely need a driver and a second riding shotgun, maybe in a swivel seat, if not in the back.
Nothing has changed since the stage coach robbery days, other than how many rounds people carry per gun, and that the bad guy's black is not his hat color.

Unless the driver has a bulletproof divider from bottom to top he's going to be shot in back and his gun taken and robbed
