I often encounter weird situations when walking at night

Leave the animals alone, do not bother them.

A few weeks ago an opossum, about a year old was curious about me. He followed me home walking along the ditch.

He checked out my yard, walked past my front porch, and went along his way.

Animals can sense trouble, and they can sense someone who will be no trouble.

Walk in peace, you too may encounter a pleasant surprise or two.

Weird response but okay.

I just saw a mesomorph at 3:30am walking near my park and I know he is not out to pay a social call. I immediately put my hand on my gun, rotating my head on my front porch. I know they are either mentally ill or up to no good walking around at this time.

Fuck you, I'm a mesomorph and walk around that time.

Was a constant problem for me until I flipped the script. I started being the hunter, the two legged critters became my prey. No weapons needed.

Just by me lurking in the shadows, they started avoiding my neighborhood.

A friend of mine in another state was having the same problem. He started dressing up like a ninja and surprising the methheads from behind at night. LOL!

One night I came across a thief about to break in a house down the street. Jumped out of the shadows with my tactical flashlight at shoulder level.

The thief took off in his car like a bat out of hell.

Before I made it back home to call the police, a squad car pulled up to me.

"We have a report of a man with a gun"

Oh, that must be me.

Told the officer what happened and showed him how I held my tactical flashlight.

Officer laughed and shook my hand. Told me they have been trying to catch that guy and I had scared him right into where they were staked out down the street.

Police had pulled the thief over for reckless driving and immediately told them someone almost shot him. LOL!

It's been fun tonight.

A stray cat from downtown followed me home, watching me walk my cat (without a leash).

He is now resting on my lap.

Took three years before this cat decided I was going to be his, watching me on my walks.

We are going to watch the sun come up. Then I will get ready for work and the cat will go back to being a stray downtown.

He watches me and knows my car. Sometimes when I pull into my driveway after work, he will be on my porch waiting for me.

Give him some food. Brush him. Let him sit on my lap.

Then he will be gone again.

Never get bothered or approached when walking my T-Rex at night, tho.

This cracks me up. As a white dude who walked the streets of Long Beach, California in ‘alleged’ bad neighborhoods in the middle of the night daily. Night owls gotta hoot at the moon and shit. Alleys are great. Never once did anyone accost me walking the dark dank alleys of downtown Long Beach. Did the same in alleys intertwining the villages of Nusa Dua Bali and ran into a whole patio of dudes being massaged by young boys in the middle of the night. Was kind of crazy. They had us chill with them for a minute.
