The credit equals 30% of the sale price up to a maximum credit of $4,000.

The credit is nonrefundable, so you can't get back more on the credit than you owe in taxes. You can't apply any excess credit to future tax years.

Purchases made before 2023 don't qualify.

All of these will contribute to Tesla electromagnetic radiation emissions, most especially the inverter, which is a high emitter of EMFs.

Also you can repair the battery cells now for like $2-$3k, 5-10 years from now you’ll be able to plop in a brand new battery for $5K or cheaper.

Only thing is dealing with range loss of 10-15% near end of life, ICE probably has the same losses in MPG.
